Terms of Service

Last updated: 5 October 2026

1. Who We Are

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Cognitive Videos Limited ("Cognitive Videos", "we", "our", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14094815, with its registered office at 200 Brook Drive, Green Park, Reading, RG2 6UB, United Kingdom.

The Terms govern your use of the website cognitivevideos.com and our AI-powered video generation platform, including any related applications, APIs, and services (together, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business, and "you" refers to that business.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and API keys confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must provide accurate account and billing information and keep it up to date.
  • Notify us promptly at support@cognitivevideos.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

3. The Services

Cognitive Videos generates videos from inputs you provide, such as text briefs, documents, images, screenshots, product pages, and brand assets, using artificial intelligence models and automated rendering. We may change, add to, or discontinue features of the Services from time to time. We will give reasonable notice of any change that materially reduces the functionality of a paid plan.

4. Plans, Credits, and Payment

  • Paid plans and credit packs are described on our pricing page. Prices are shown exclusive of VAT and other applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • Credits are consumed when a video job is run. Credits are non-transferable and, unless required by law or stated in your order, non-refundable once consumed.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
  • If a payment fails or is overdue, we may suspend access to paid features until the balance is settled.

5. Your Content

You keep ownership of the briefs, documents, images, footage, brand assets, and other materials you upload ("Input"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and transform your Input solely to provide the Services to you, including passing it to the third-party AI model providers and rendering infrastructure we use to generate your videos.

You confirm that:

  • you own or have the necessary rights and permissions to use your Input, including any people, logos, trademarks, music, or third-party material it contains;
  • your Input does not infringe anyone else's rights or breach any law; and
  • where your Input contains personal data, you have a lawful basis to share it with us and our processors.

6. Generated Videos

Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, you own the videos, voiceovers, and other outputs the Services generate for you ("Output") and may use them for any lawful commercial or non-commercial purpose. Because generative models can produce similar results for similar inputs, we cannot guarantee that Output is unique, and we do not warrant that Output is free of third-party claims.

You are responsible for reviewing Output before you publish it. Output may contain inaccuracies and should not be relied on as professional, legal, financial, or medical advice.

7. Acceptable Use

You must not use the Services to:

  • create content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that promotes violence or self-harm;
  • impersonate a real person or organisation, or create misleading "deepfake" content without clear consent and disclosure;
  • infringe intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights;
  • upload malware, probe or disrupt our infrastructure, or circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or security controls;
  • scrape, resell, or sublicense the Services, or use them to build a competing video generation product; or
  • breach the terms of the third-party AI providers we rely on.

We may remove content, suspend jobs, or suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.

8. Intellectual Property

The Services, including our software, templates, scene engine, prompts, designs, trademarks, and documentation, are owned by Cognitive Videos or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the rights to Output granted in section 6, no rights are granted to you other than the limited right to use the Services in accordance with these Terms.

Portfolio and sample videos shown on this website remain the property of Cognitive Videos or the respective clients and may not be reused without permission.

9. Third-Party Services

The Services use third-party AI models, cloud infrastructure, voice synthesis, and payment providers. Those providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security commitments. We are not responsible for the availability of third-party services outside our control.

10. Confidentiality and Data Protection

We treat your Input and Output as confidential and do not use them to train our own models or share them with other customers. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Where we process personal data on your behalf, a data processing agreement is available on request.

11. Availability and Support

We aim to keep the Services available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance and unplanned incidents may cause downtime. Support is provided by email during UK business hours; enterprise plans may include additional support commitments set out in the applicable order.

12. Disclaimers

Except as expressly set out in these Terms, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all implied warranties, including warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that:

  • we are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss; and
  • our total liability arising out of or in connection with the Services in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid to us in that period.

14. Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims, losses, and costs arising from your Input, your use of Output, or your breach of these Terms, including any claim that your Input infringes a third party's rights.

15. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Services, in which case we will refund any prepaid fees for the unused period unless termination was due to your breach. On termination your right to use the Services ends; sections that by their nature should survive, including sections 6, 8, 12, 13, 14, and 17, will continue to apply.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date and, for account holders, notified by email. Continued use of the Services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
